If spot gas gets cheaper than the current gas supply on the European gas market, customers can partly replace their current gas supply with spot gas.If you choose this way, you can reduce your costs of natural gas by acquiring spot gas from the European natural gas market. CEMAG offers spot gas in form of floating or fixed supply.
Operating mode of spot gas
Generally, the present supply contract obliges the customer to obtain ca. 80% („take or pay“ obligation) of the annual quantity. Upon approval of the main supplier, it is therefore possible to acquire CEMAG spot gas up to 20% of the annual quantity.
Which spot gas deliveries are possible?
- CEMAG offers, depending on availability, a high quantity flexibility – from 1 MW/h
- CEMAG offers, depending on availability, a high time flexibility – up to 24h/day and 365 days/year
Handling of spot gas deliveriesIt is up to the customer to gain information if the main supplier has to agree to the contract conclusion and within which handling time a feed-in of spot gas in the accounting grid of the main supplier has to be announced (ca. 3-14 days). On this basis, the contract with CEMAG should be concluded. Subsequently, the customer informs its main supplier about the feed-in of a spot gas delivery.
CEMAG supplies, in compliance with the contract, the accounting grid of the main supplier with spot gas and takes on all relating activities. After the supply, the delivered quantity of spot gas is allocated to the customer.
